I have been working with computers since high school starting with the TRS-80 models from Radio Shack. Back then, the Tandy models would only support the "Basic" language and a floppy disk was really floppy.
Since then, I have learned many different programming languages. I worked with PL-1 and FORTRAN in college, COBOL at my first job, and Assembler the first time I worked with the IBM PC line of model XT's to try and make them process as fast as possible. This was my first experience at trying to get blood out of a turnip!
After that, I worked with a company using the Tandem (not to be confused with Tandy) line of parallel processing computers and COBOL code. Next, I worked with a company using Wang computers with their unique processing language.
After only a year of working with the Wang computers I went back to working with the PC line of computers using a new operating system called Microsoft Windows for Work Groups and have been using Microsoft products ever since.
During the early years I was on the bleeding edge of the technology using Microsoft Access 1.0, C++ (before it became "Visual C++") and Visual Basic. I also, worked with Ingress databases and the Sybase database before it was absorbed by Microsoft to become SQL Server.
Now I am working with even more of Microsoft's products, such as their ASP technology, as well as newer versions of their older products, such as SQL Server, Access, Visual Basic and their Windows operating system.
After working for other companies for over 10 years I decided to become self-employed back in the fall of 1996. Since then I have been creating applications for small companies of only 2 employees on up to "Fortune 500" companies with offices around the world!
